- be the best on your team, not in the round
- drop outs can help you
- tower timers - kamikaze kill
- use your base
- spot enemies
- at least 2 towers
- to progress in league you don't have to win matches in a row. all you need to do is prevent losses from decreasing your rank...that's much different than "not losing". forget about keeping up with the enemy players, try to remain cc mvp for your team. by doing this, you will focus more on where your mates are and find yourself "operating as one" with other members. enemies are for killing, mates are for focus. if you secure first or second place on your team, win or lose the round, it's very likely you won't decrease in rank. looking at the ladder long term like this helped me greatly. if you do lose rank (it will happen) and you're at the top of your team...softens the blow.
- so if you do like the above suggests and secure first or second place on your team, if 2 enemies drop or have crap scores...you're golden (pun not intended, lol), you won't decrease in rank. when someone drops from your team...don't let it discourage you. that just means you have one less person on your team to compete with for first place.
- when your team takes a tower, timers reset and respawn. use this to your advantage. keep notice on the tower timers, when one starts dropping and you think the team will take it soon...kamikaze into the enemy. take an enemy down with you and die while causing as much dps as you possibly can. kill all things. when the team takes the tower, you respawn. if you timed it well, the person(s) you killed is still under timer when you respawn...enemy team is down a player on the field. this is putting just basic statistics on your side.
- it is quite possible to guard a tower from behind your base's shield. if your bot can't, still keep an exit path in mind, especially when starting off. i find myself engaging an enemy, taking on fire, retreating to home, repairing, then return to finish the same enemy off. this of course is going to depend on your build, but remind yourself to use your base, for repair or shield.
- earning score is how you progress in league and everything helps, including spotting. not only does it increase your stats but it helps the team by placing a flashing neon sign above the enemy's head that says "insert ammo here". place your cursor over the enemy and hit q.
- do i go for the enemy or a tower? depends on how many towers you have. 2+ enemy, <2 towers. this is also just a basic generalization. there are builds/situations that should not follow this tactic, but it can be extremely useful when appropriate. when you have 2 towers you have the cc booster, with the 3 the generator. stack that cc as much as you can, fast as you can, and you need at least 2 towers to do that.
