hey yall. so i have an idea for a mega but i'm not sure it will work. i've never seen one like this, which tells me it's either a new idea or it's been tried and failed horribly so no one produces them. if i were i betting man, i'd go with the latter, lol.
so it's called ARC. armored robo carrier and it's just that... a shielded transport for the rest of the team. it has 2 mech legs, 4-6 plasma and the rest of the cpu is used by mega plates and armor cubes to create a little moving cave that the team, especially the medics, can take cover in. it has protection in the front and top that totally blocks shots. the idea being the team follows the mega and is covered by the top shields and protected in the front. the medics stay in the little cave and the other take cover when needed.
has this been tried? does it work? my worry is that we all know rc comes with it's own special set of physic laws. would bumping into the mega be a problem? i also put a mega hover inside the cave, thinking maybe it would help stabilize it?
i don't know if any of this makes sense. i can take pictures of what i have so far if that would help explain it better, just me know.

Yes.Yes it does, partly anyway. 100% correct i'm afraid. Not 100% sure on that, you could try, but mech legs are on their own self stabilzing. You can try to see if it works, but you'll probably fail horribly, many have tried this, although with all of these physics updates you can't be certain of thing anymore, it might work like a charm, or it might just fail horribly. All I can tell you is that my experience with such things is not very extensive, but when you try to put a bot inside another bot some things happen: 1. The bot inside, no matter if it has legs or hovers, will not move with yours, after all, they are separate entities. 2. The bot inside will cause certain weird movements, such as unintended bumps, your mega going all over the place etc. ( This has only been tried with mega hovers, not sure about mega legs) 3. Moving will be a problem: Backing up will mean that the bot inside you has to back up too in order to maintain synchronous movement, otherwise if you back up, and the bot inside doesn't, they will bump into each other, and weirdness will happen. If your bot moves forward, the bot inside will also have to move forwards, otherwise it will fall off. I have managed, as a flyer walker, to climb up on copters and essentially "fly" with them, it has been fun mind you, but all the above rules applied, although it was quite a while ago, i have had much more recent experiences that seem to still suggest that the above rules apply. TLDR: Weird stuff happens, you can try, but it'll require synchronous bot movement, so either have a friend with you in TS, or just be lucky and the player that sits inside you has curse and talks. Either way, good luck if you want to do this, you will need it!

oh cool, thank you for this info. it helps me greatly. i think i may go ahead and try it, focusing more on keeping it a moving obstacle, rather than a cave. something they can hide behind and be covered from aerial attacks partially...long enough to get rid of them. not necessarily a cave that they get inside. no hover either, my original idea on that was i could press shift and the hover would pull it to the ground. i forgot though that doing that also lowers the mech legs into that locked position...so yea, scratch that i'll let yall know when i have it ready for testing and show some pics. thanks again. cheers!
